Instructions for Presenters
Remote Presenter Guidelines
For remote presenters, all presentations, Boom talks, and panels will take place via Zoom on Thursday, May 18th. You will access your talk via zoom links that we will provide through the Whova app. Please make sure that you have downloaded both Zoom and Whova prior to your presentation(s). If you're presenting a poster, we will have additional information below.
Whova guidelines. Please note that to access the Creativity Conference on Whova you must first register for the conference.
Remote Speaking Presentations/Panels/Boom Talks
All of our Presentations, Boom Talks and Panels will take place within the Whova application via a zoom link. Once you have registered for the conference you will be able to download Whova and access the conference materials including the link to your own talk. Once you've clicked on your own talk you will see a place where you can upload your presentation documents. This is where you might upload Powerpoint presentations, handouts, images or anything else you want to show your attendees. Please make sure you do this well in advance of your talk. We are encouraging all presenters to present in person. All Presentations, Panels and Boom talks will have a moderator. Their role will be to assist you with basic zoom functions like screen sharing, time-keeping, and monitoring the chat room for questions about your presentation. They will not be able to assist you with advancing your Powerpoint presentations however since you will be running that off of your own system. We will have IT specialists available for basic technology issues.
We have many sessions scheduled throughout each day and we will need presenters to stay within their allotted time slot. All times posted in the program are Pacific Standard Time, so please make sure that you adjust to your time zone accordingly. For all Boom talks, presenters are listed as starting at the top of the hour, but your actual time slot will be determined by the order in which you are listed relative to three other presenters. Please plan to show up at the top of the hour and stay for the entire hour or at least until your presentation is over.
Remote Poster Presentations
We will feature Poster Presentations during a specific time slot on Thursday, May 18th. However, we do encourage presenters to upload their posters in advance of the conference and then pick one or more of the time slots to be present for Q&A just like you would at a face to face conference. You can even add a Zoom link if you would like to host a live Q&A session.
Here are a few websites that have Powerpoint templates for posters. The websites below are not affiliated with the conference in any way.

In-Person Presenter Guidelines
All of our rooms have computers and projection equipment. You can see a map of the Stevenson Union here. Please bring any presentation materials on a memory stick/USB drive. All in person presentations (with the exception of posters) will be live streamed via Zoom. We will have dedicated IT support to assist you with any technical issues, but please let us know in advance if you have special technology needs or requests. We do not have access to on-campus printing so please bring copies of any handouts you want to distribute. We are unable to predict how many individuals will be in attendance for any one session so we encourage presenters to upload presentation materials to the mobile app. If you have more than one document to upload, you can send the additional documents to conference organizers and we can upload them for you.
We have many sessions scheduled throughout each day and we will need presenters to stay within their allotted time slot. This is particularly important for our 15-minute Boom talks. We will have room monitors in each room to help you keep track of time.
In-Person Poster Presentations
The poster session is scheduled for Friday, May 19th from 12:00 PM - 2 PM PST in the Rogue River Room. We can accommodate a range of style and formats, but we are recommending that presenters use the 36x56 inch or 92 x 142 cm Powerpoint template. At the bottom of this page, we've included a few links to websites that have Powerpoint templates for posters. The websites below are not affiliated with the conference in any way. We are not providing on-site printing so please either bring your poster with you or prepare to arrange for printing when you arrive. The Rogue River Room will be open all day Thursday and after and any time after 10 am Friday if you want to hang your poster early. We will provide clips/pins to hang your posters.
